In order to ensure the supply and quality of the major raw materials, we have established 4000 acreages of standardized plantation bases for Valeriana officinalis, Vaccinium Myrtillus L., Asparagus officinalis , Alose, Opuntia ficus indica, and Harpagophytum procumbens in Hunan, Guizhou, and Hubei Province, and 20000 acreages of standardized plantation bases for another 12 species are being built, including that for Radix Puerariae, Rhizoma Polygoni Cuspidati, bitter melon, Fructus Schisandrae Chinensin, etc. We hope to obtain the certification of Good Agricultural Practice (GAP) for all these crude drugs within 5 years.
